DeleteThanks for your prompt reply. But as Karthik has asked, isn't there an option for bank transfer, or other electronic purchases? Going to the bank to get a DD and then to the post office to send it is, quite a difficult task these days...

We pay hefty (compared to book's price) on DD and speed post charges! :(

DeleteKarthik : These charges are inevitable ; but in the earlier way of distribution through agents and book-sellers, we were paying them a 30% sales commission. This was a hidden cost and this is now compensated to readers by way of better paper ; print quality! So it works out even I guess!

Deletesir, i still wish to buy our comics from book shops. i strongly belive that selling through book shops only will reach maximum number of readers. I think if you are not selling through book shops then its very difficult to reach casual readers, new readers, some of our regular readers those who are not much linked with internet. Sir, I hope you wll undrstnd this issue and will made some arrangements to get your books in my regular shops.
ReplyDeleteI regularly used to buy from "Muthu naval pannai" - Namakkal. I never had any issue with them.I am residing in chennai. But doesnt have any reliable address here. So it is being very convenient for me to get books from my regular book shop.

ReplyDeleteComeback Special was really good . It was so nice to read our comics in a good quality paper & in color . After this everyone will expect to release all books in color . At least you can release every alternate books in color .Please release any of Tex issue in color .It will be great to watch my favorite hero in color .
Regarding விண்ணில் ஒரு குள்ள நரி" i have an doubt . Sometimes back i payed Rs 70 for the new 7 set of books which included this book also .So we have to pay again to get this book or no need for it.Staying on , in comeback special there is adv for new 4 set of books expected to release in March 2012 . So my understanding is those who paid for that Rs 70 for the 7 set of books is no need to pay . Hope i am clear
also in comics classic , please publish Reporter Johnny stories.I do remember , some of the johnny stories that published in Thigil comics during the early stages were absolute stunning ones
